Pertek LLC is a professional IT support and repair center. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
When you contact us through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the message you send. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties. We retain contact form submissions for up to 12 months for customer service purposes.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This service collects anonymized data such as pages visited, time spent on site, and general location. You can learn more about Google’s privacy practices at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers (such as hosting provider, email service, or analytics tools) solely for the purpose of operating our website and serving you better.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Contact form data may be sent to our email service provider solely for the purpose of receiving and responding to your inquiry.
Your contact information
If you provide your contact information (email, phone number) through our contact form or by other means, we use it only to respond to your inquiries, provide quotes, or inform you about our services if you have explicitly opted in to receive marketing communications. You may request deletion of your contact information at any time.
Additional information
How we protect your data
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Our website uses SSL encryption, and access to stored data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Although we strive to use secure platforms and take all reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely infallible. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we have established an internal response plan. We will promptly notify affected users and the relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by applicable data protection laws
What third parties we receive data from
Currently, we do not receive any user or visitor data directly from third-party sources (such as data brokers or advertising networks). The only data we process is the information you voluntarily provide to us through forms on our site or automatically collected via cookies and analytics services (like Google Analytics).
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We do not use your personal data for any automated decision-making, including credit checks, user profiling for advertising purposes, or any other form of automated processing that has a legal or significant effect on you. Any communication or service response you receive from us is generated by our team members, not by automated algorithms.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
As Pertek LLC is primarily an IT repair and service provider, we are not a member of a regulated financial, health, or legal industry. Therefore, no specific industry-wide regulatory disclosures are required for our business operations under current laws.
